Pike Creek 10 Year Old is a top notch Canadian whisky which gets treated to a finishing period in rum barrels before bottling (previously Pike Creek was finished in Port casks, though the producer changed it to rum barrels at some point in the 2010s). Excellent stuff, and great value-for-money, too.

Tasting notes from the team at Master of Malt:

Nose Honey'd raisins and pecans, with a spicy little kick of herbaceous rye hiding in there.

Palate Old-fashioned cola cubes, cardamom heat, caramel and a clear suggestion of good rum.

Finish Lasting notes of brown sugar and dried oak.
